Inspiration Blog Hop

Hi everyone its been quite awhile I haven't been very good at posting on here have I. I promise t try to post on here more often again. Today I am here as I am so honored to be nominated by Rebecca Swanson of BeccaLite Crafts fpr this continuous blog hop. Every Monday there is a host of inspirational bloggers taking part and answering questions.
I will do my best to answer them so here we go:

1. What am I working on?
Well I am always working on something LOL. My craft room organization is a continuous work in progress. But currently I am working on several CAS (Clean and simple) cards and a scene card for my Hot Rods Boutique Design Team which is such a joy getting to play with Whimsy Stamps and Avery Elle Stamps and dies everyday what could be more fun.

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I like to jump around to a ton of different genres and dip my toe into everything. Lately I have been having fun playing with CAS cards and also some mixed media. But something most people associate with me and that I will always continue to do are my detailed scene cards.I think my scene cards differ from most others because I wil #1 use a ton of different stamps by different stamp companies. #2 I will try to add lots of tiny details to truly create a realistic scene and #3 i try to keep everything in proportiuon as I can so again it looks realistic but I also want it kind of cutesy cartoon feel I hope it makes sense LOL heres an example of  scene cards of mine

                                                                                                                                                                   #3.Why do I create what I do?
Well I think why do most of us create what we do is because we found something we love to do that brings joy to our hearts and makes us feel happy that lets us be creative.I love the feeling of seeing a finished product or sitting and picturing a scene for my stamp or finding a new way to use a stamp ir die. Its fun! Is also therapeutic.

#4. How does my creative process work?
I know I seem like a very chaotic process but theres a method to my madness I promise LOL.
I will start by choosing my main image and when I see it I automatically will picture the colors shes wearing and what shes doing and what the scene looks like and I know right there that I have to create the picture I see in my head. After that I will go through just about every stamp and die I own (which is way way too many) and see what will work in my scene I will stamp color and fussy cut all the ones I think will work (even though I will probably only use half) I then sit and lay them out and move them around til I am happy with it. All the colored and cut images I dont use go in a little box that I always look through when doing a scene. My process is extremely time consuming but I am always so happy with my end product.

Who do I nominate sheesh thats tough theres so many amazing talented crafters out there. The 2 I chose are both such sweet talented gifted woman , crafters n moms.

  1. Hi Steph,
    I noticed you asked on the My Style Stamp Blog witch colors I used for a Christmas card;
    I have only set c from Copic markers. I'm not home now, so it a little bit difficult to tell you which colors I did use. I think I used YG23, YG63 and one of the gray colors (E71 maybe). I hope I helped you out :)

    Ps. I loved reading this post & liked seeing some of your works! & hihihi I’m such a slow crafter too lol
